North Campus Updates | POIC + RAHS

Greetings RAHS North Families,

After receiving final clearance, North Campus is opening as scheduled on Tuesday, February 20th. We will still be operating with an abundance of caution and have air filters running throughout the building 24 hours a day and masks will be provided. If your student has any health concerns that require their inhaler, please make sure they have them available.

We look forward to seeing everyone on Tuesday.

Due to our continued concern for student safety and security, we have decided to remain remote through Wednesday, February 14th. During this time, the North Campus will undergo the repairs needed for us to return.

Students will be able to access their Google Classroom between the hours of 8:30 am and 12:30 pm using the link sent to students and families. Assignments have been uploaded to Canvas as well.

If your student wants in-person instruction or other support services, North Campus staff will be available by appointment from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm at the New Columbia Campus (4610 N. Trenton St.).

As you are aware, there was a 4-alarm fire at Royce’s Prop Shop this morning, the business adjacent to North Campus, that resulted in a total loss. Surprisingly, our school was spared of any major damage.

However, due to the poor air quality from the smoke and continued building inspections, for safety purposes, we are providing instruction via remote learning for the remainder of the week.

You and your student will receive instructions from their Advisory teacher shortly on how to engage remotely and continue to complete work. Attendance will be taken, so please encourage your student to log in.

Rosemary Anderson High School North Campus will not conduct in-person classes until it has been determined safe to have students in the building due to a 4-alarm fire at Royce's Prop Shop, an adjacent business.

Additional information will be sent to you and your student this afternoon regarding interim remote learning options that will be available until our building is back open.

Dear Rosemary Anderson School Families,

Rosemary Anderson High School North Campus will not conduct classes today, February 7th, due to a 3-alarm fire at Royce's Prop Shop, an adjacent business.

Firefighters are currently trying to contain the fire. As a result, there will be no school for students at North Campus until we can assess the situation. No injuries have been reported at this time.

Royce is a long-time supporter and neighbor of POIC + RAHS. We are saddened and hope their staff is safe.
