Portland Public Schools Strike Resources
Dear Rosemary Anderson School Families,
As you have probably heard, Portland Public Schools is planning to strike on Wednesday, November 1st. Unless a last-second agreement is reached, all PPS schools will close. RAHS + RAMS are private schools, so we will remain open for school and our extra-curricular activities.
We understand that many of our students have siblings who attend a Portland Public School.
If it becomes necessary that your RAHS+RAMS student must miss instruction due to caring for siblings, please reach out to us to make academic accommodations.
If your student attends night school (Portland Evening Scholars), their last day would be today, October 31st. PPS currently does not have information on how or when classes will be made up.
Grab-and-go meals will be provided for all school-age children, ages 1-18, for the duration of the strike. To check the locations and see official PPS correspondence regarding the strike, please go to Family Resources During a Strike / Family Resources - Main Page (pps.net)
Again, RAHS+RAMS will be operating normally during the strike. If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to your Campus Administrator. Thank you for allowing us to provide for the educational needs of your students.
