Training Instructor

Location:  Portland, Oregon

Hours: Friday to Sunday

Reports to: Program Manager

Salary: $35 - $40 Hourly

Job Summary: 

This position is responsible for conducting training programs that boost employee workplace performance in alliance with the organization’s core values by performing the following duties.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Translates requirements into training which assists employees toward the next step of their career path.

  • Develops and oversees the production of classroom handouts, instructional materials, aids and manuals.

  • Directs structured learning experiences and monitors their quality results.

  • Acclimates new hires to the business and conducts orientation sessions.

  • Stays current on new trends and tools in assist with employee development.

  • Ability to conduct cost-benefit analysis and calculate training ROI.

  • Maintains punctual, regular and predictable attendance.

  • Works collaboratively in a team environment with a spirit of cooperation.

  • Respectfully takes direction from manager.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Experience/Education:

  • Associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college or vocational school with two to four years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
