Portland OIC / Rosemary Anderson High School is committed to the future success of at-risk youth through the age of 25, providing the highest quality services in education, mentoring, family outreach, employment training and placement.
Portland OIC is a non-profit education management organization, established for 42 years in North Portland, serving over 460 students and work trainees annually, across three programs: Rosemary Anderson High School, Rosemary Anderson Transitions, and Work Opportunities Training.
Rosemary Anderson High School is a fully accredited community-based, alternative High School enrolling over 158 students annually. The school has a 90% graduation rate with many of our graduates completing diplomas after age 19. RAHS as has an open-door admission policy, and primarily caters to those students who have failed in the public school system.
Rosemary Anderson Transitions is a support system for over 130 High School graduates in 2010 that have moved on to college full or part-time. It provides students with additional resources to help ensure their success at the college level, and to keep them on track and working towards their goals.
Portland OIC partners with local businesses who provide support ranging from tours and seminars, mentoring, paid and unpaid internships and paid work for our most successful students and graduates. In recent years we have placed over 250 trainees in internships and work yearly. This is projected to double in size by 2012.
