Carl Reinhold - Director of Education | Principal

estavis@portlandoic.org

Carl Reinhold was born in Washington D.C. and raised on both the east and west coasts. Before embarking on a teaching career in Oregon, he worked in the California legislature, primarily in the state Assembly house. As an educator he has taught at both the elementary and secondary level and served youth and families in an administrative capacity throughout the metropolitan area for over 7 years. Carl acquired his Master of Arts in Teaching and Administrative Credential from Lewis & Clark College. He is passionate about restoring hope and belief in the minds of underserved youth and families through an educational process founded upon the relationship model. He refuses to accept the status quo and believes all students can and will succeed if given the proper support, critical thinking and the navigation skills, allowing them to alter the course of their predisposed destiny. Carl enjoys the beautiful beaches of Oregon, his incredibly supportive family, reading, and sharing stories.
