POIC + RAHS is not only committed to the success of our Rosemary Anderson High School students and graduates, but we are also committed to helping youth in the greater Portland area become contributing members in a thriving community. We offer several opportunities throughout the year for youth to socialize while gaining valuable skills in employment and training, community outreach, and team building through sports and other avenues.
Street Level Gang Outreach
POIC + RAHS is committed to fostering safe communities through our Community Outreach Department, providing street-level gang outreach workers. This program is a partnership among Portland and Gresham police departments, the Office of Youth Violence Prevention, Portland Parks Bureau, and TriMet. Outreach workers provide youth with referrals that promote reconnection to schools, pathways to employment, and navigation to social support services, as well as, mentorship, home visits, and connecting youth with pro social activities.
