Rewriting Life Stories

Committed to the success of underserved youth and adults.

Portland Opportunities Industrialization Center and Rosemary Anderson High School provides the highest quality services in alternative education, mentoring, family outreach, employment training, and placement.

Paid job training and placement.

Career coaches and mentors give trainees tools and resources to get them job-ready or help with the transition to college. Internships and pre-apprenticeship programs provide underserved youth and adults the opportunity to be part of a diverse and inclusive workforce.

Community safety.

For more than 55 years, POIC + RAHS has helped ensure our community has their basic needs met. In today’s climate intervention and prevention is a crucial part of that security. We provide emergency support to families and individuals impacted by community violence.

Removing barriers to education.

Rosemary Anderson Schools and the new Rosemary Anderson Prep program serve students who want more whole-life support and responsive teachers as they work toward educational success and receive their diploma or GED.

Who we serve.

At POIC + RAHS, we reconnect alienated at-risk youth and adults affected by poverty, family instability, and homelessness to education, career training, and culturally-specific wraparound programs, including services for families impacted by the criminal justice system.
